tgem | Let's say I asked a yes/no question. The cards came up as Ace of Pents, Judgement Rx, and 8OC Rx. Do you read that as a yes or no?
|
Ceridwen | I donīt read reversals, but if I did, I`d read that as a no. And three reversals? Someone is going to change their mind! |
tgem | Thanks Dear. Well AOP was upright but that was the only one. |
tgem | So if you didn't read Rx's, would you say this is a "yes" with both the AOP and Judgement in there? |
Ceridwen | WEll the spread wouldn`t be readable to me at all. Either there will be reversals possible or not, and that determines the way of reading, too. |
Ceridwen | You should set your intention before doing such a Yes-No-spread, being clear about if RX means NO, or just No sometimes depending on the cards and so on. If you haven`t done that I donīt think you can really read it as a Yes-No-spread. |
Ladylibra | Ace of pentacles would be a yes for me, but only because the person won't free themselves (judgement reversed) and keeps coming back for more (8 of cups reversed). Just my interpretation without knowing the question or situation. When I ask yes or no I generally pull one card. If I need the answer clarified then I'll pull more. |
tgem | Hmmm, the reader interpreted it as a "yes". How confusing UGH 😖 The question was "will I see him on a certain day?" |
Ceridwen | well forget what I said then, as I donīt do reversals anyway. LadyLibra`s take sounds very sound, actually, taking the symbolism into consideration. But what a depressing Yes that would be. |
tgem | LMAO @ Ceri....my thoughts exactly!! |
Ceridwen | What was the question? If he`s going to stay with her? |
tgem | No, if I'd see him this Saturday at a particular place. Even if I do, looks like he'll ignore me. Awesome. |
Ceridwen | Hmm, maybe he`s going to stay home? originally wanting to go, but then staying put? Or hiding behind someone else? |
tgem | Oh who knows. We need a tarot deck with cards that say "YES" and "NO" |
LeeLoo2014 | I see the last two cards as a no, because 8 of cups means going out by night or evening in the context, so Rx means staying put, as Ceri says. And Judgment Rx is about the decision to not go. But the Ace of pents is confusing, for it is generally a clear yes card hm. Perhaps in this case it shows the intention to go, but then it is being overturned. If there's a ticket involved, the Ace might show it was bought, yet the rest of the spread points to it not being used after all, this is what I see. |
tgem | @ Leeloo, thanks I believe you might be dead on here. Yes there is a "reservation" involved at this particular place so the Ace definitley would indicate the plan/intent to go as they have probably already been made. But I agree with the last two cards indicating a turn of events (staying put and not going.) Oh yes, and it is in the evening. Good read there as well! Thanks so much everyone for the responses; I'll let you know what happens. |
LeeLoo2014 | Have a great time, Tgem, no matter what |
tgem | Yes, that is my goal! My best friend and her husband are treating me to a Valentine's Dinner at a great restaurant! I'm so excited to go out and just be doing SOMETHING this weekend that I'm looking forward to it no matter what 😁 |
tgem | Just wanted to give some feedback - I didn't see him tonight. Thanks for the help with interpretations. |
